Out of Control Sexual Behavior (OCSB) Group for Men with Legal System Involvement

A structured virtual group for men seeking to understand and change high-risk online sexual behaviors

This 8-week therapist-led group is designed for adult men who have engaged in compulsive or problematic sexual behavior online — including behaviors that have led to legal system involvement or violation of digital boundaries and norms.

The group provides a nonjudgmental, structured space to foster accountability, insight, and sustainable change using a blend of evidence-based modalities:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • The Out of Control Sexual Behavior (OCSB) model

  • Principles from sexual health and forensic psychology

Participants will explore:

  • The link between emotional dysregulation and compulsive behavior

  • The roles of shame, secrecy, fantasy, and online disinhibition

  • Personal values clarification and building a healthy sexual self-concept

  • Relapse prevention, boundary setting, and technology use plans

  • How to rebuild trust with others and oneself

Who is this for?

This group is appropriate for men who:

  • Have engaged in online behaviors that violated legal or ethical boundaries

  • Are under court supervision, in pretrial or post-plea stages, or voluntarily seeking support

  • Are motivated to understand their behaviors and build a healthier relationship with sexuality

Facilitated by Dr. Kathryn Ambeau, a licensed psychologist and AASECT-certified sex therapist with extensive experience in clinical and forensic work, this group provides both compassion and structure. Dr. Ambeau is trained in complex sexual behavior presentations, including those that arise in forensic or high-stakes contexts.

Note: This group is not intended for individuals charged with in-person contact offenses or those requiring residential treatment. A brief clinical intake determines suitability.
